I looked first in the people department, but I purchased them from the pet department, because the pet version was sturdier, yet less expensive.
Alongside the clippers, the box contained a pamphlet, with instructions for grooming sheep and goats, horses and hogs.
They have given me, and the dog, many years of faithfull service.
I love my clippers.

When my Romeo cat (long black fur with big yellow eyes) was 19 years old, he started getting knots really bad. Eventually, he become one big dred.
So, we took him to a groomer who shaved him down to naked, without a single nick! Romeo lived about one more year, without ever being bothered by knotty fur again.

I had my first experience of being “under the clipper” in December. Loved it. Haven’t attempted it myself – yet. Will have to study your diagrams closely! 😀

I would go for the “horse” or the “goat”.
I don’t think that I could let anyone else clip my hair. I would be too wiggly.

They are Wahl clippers. I know that they are the same as people clippers, because the little attachments that they sell at the people beauty supply store fit these clippers perfectly. Mine say “Pet Clippers” however, which gives me great satisfaction.

Thank you. Yes, Wahl are fairly standard clippers. I use a Wahl “Peanut” to keep my own buzzcut.
In fact, I just buzzed this morning. I feel so much better after a buzzcut, more able to face the world.
Isn’t it odd how removing something makes one feel more armored? Well, for this butch it does!

It’s hard to say. I first buzzed my hair in 1983, when I first fell in love with a woman. I was violent and angry then, and would fight with anyone who looked at me wrong. I told myself at that time that the anger and the buzzcut were because I was a proper punk rock girl, but there was far more to it. I was also viscerally reacting to the years of abuse I had suffered in silence, and my butch self was beginning to emerge.
It felt so good to get my power back more recently after decades of ignoring and denying it. I don’t use my fists anymore, thank goodness!
